POINT & SHOOT PHOTO CONTEST #1
2. Picture can't be more than 3 months old.
Thats a good rule. imo that rule should be on the regular contests too, but good that we at least have it here.
Maybe you should specify just in case that each person can only enter 1 picture?
20. jan thats a very long deadline...
Any subject matter, hehe thats gonna get intersting, not easy to judge totally different photos, best of luck to the judge and thanks for taking the initiative
I will see if I can get my old V1 (launched in 2003) out again to get a shot for this.
POINT & SHOOT PHOTO CONTEST #1
Rules
7. Photos will be judged by Barondla.
8. Will award 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places.
1. Wrong venue for a all camera contest, This is the Pentax forum.
7. What qualifications do you have to be a judge, possibly it should be left up to a vote of other forum members.
8. Prizes?
By the way, maybe this should be moved to the mini challenges and games forum?
Do you really think this forum is too busy to stand this wee mini challenge? I guess it really doesn't matter where it ends up. I think that barondla cleared this with Mo. He may change his mind if it gets to be a big challenge. But I can't see it becoming that. I'd love to be proven wrong there though.

Sounds good to me. Thank you for taking the initiative. Hmmm...gonna have to keep my eyes open for something good to shoot with my wee cam in the next couple weeks. This is a good reason to dust it off and rediscover it's strengths and work around its weaknesses!
edit, barondla, I'm hoping that you can add no processing other than re-sizing the photo's and possibly cropping so even the newest photographer has a fair chance.
I suddenly wish that I still used my P&S.
I've only snapped about 3 pic's with it since I got my K100.
I should pack it along on tomorrows hike, even though it's a Sony
2many, I would imagine that this contest is open to all brands of P&S cameras because 75+% of us only use P&S cameras for backup.
So we aren't as brand loyal.
I would imagine that if you happened to have a camera phone picture worth entering it would be considered, although the rules don't specify it

Definitely not Florida! If memory serves me right, they're not very good at counting and chosing a winner. i.e.(Bush vs. Gore)
padoompa!
So we should move it to Wisconsin then, just as long as it is not in the Pentax Forum, I dont care where you put it, You can put it where the sun doesnt shine as far as I am concerned.
I agree on the no-matter-what-brand criterium. That is purely for my own interest, since I do have a non-SLR P&S camera that is not made by Pentax, and not a non-SLR P&S camera that was made by Pentax. So for me to contribute, best would be the no-matter-what-brand rule.
We could add that the poster should have a Pentax, camera, too.
