Welcome to the PentaxForums POINT & SHOOT PHOTO CONTEST #4

Given that I'm still digging out from 50 cm of snow this weekend. How about the theme, "Predominantly Green".

Rules:

1. Any non SLR camera can be used. ANY BRAND. Film or digital;
2. No limit as to how long ago the photo was taken;
3. Location photo was taken is desirable but not essential;
4. ENTRIES CLOSE at midnight 2 Apr 08, Ottawa time. ;
5. The maximum allowed photo dimensions are 800x800 pixels;
6. List camera brand and model;
7. Some post-processing is fine;
8. Will award 1st, 2nd, 3rd place;
9. Max limit of 5 photos per member for the contest; and,
10. The winner of the contest will host and judge the next one.

Look forward to seeing "green". I'll start it off one that I posted in another thread.

Hey, that is the point isn't it? ;-) Get ya using that p&s that mostly gathers dust. Or if you are like me, I carry it everywhere, just don't use it often.

I'll give it a shot! Taken with a Fuji F10, the camera I used before being inaugurated into the DSLR Pentax world.

A friendly tree frog at the Toronto Zoo. (July 2006)

In a nightclub in Bristol, UK. It's amazing what you see when you look down. (August 2006)

Up in a mountain pass in the Dingle Peninsula, Kerry, Ireland. Truly an amazing place! (May 2007)

My friend and I silhouetted on the rugby pitch, as we have a serious talk on the balcony. (July 2007)

Green

I tried to keep these as much total green as I could. I may contribute a couple more later.

These are pretty "green". The last week of october we had a 75 degree day and I just had to take the kayak out. These were shot on the upper Hudson River between Corinth and Glens Falls, NY with a Fuji Fine Pix 2650. I bought it in 2002, only 2 megapixels and was my only digital camera until I bought my K10D about a month after these shots.

Green Inside and Out

Here's a little double entendre on 'green'. This is the Casino at Monte Carlo in Monaco (Casio EX-Z55):

These 3 shots were taken with my Canon Powershot S60.

Spring is unusually green along northern California's Lost Coast - near the California-Oregon border.
