Picked July 27th because the Tour de France bicycle race will be won. Busy watching about 3hrs a day for 22 glorious days! Thank you VS.
Gary... the picture on the way to Hawaii is very cool. I've seen just this kind of thing a few times times and that photo picked me and plopped me in the seat...
Ummm... now that you've teased us with that, think you could finish the job and get us to, say, Mauna Kea?
woof!

Laguna Seca 2005, First year the ALMS race moved to 4 hours and ended in the twilight. Got a lucky shot with the Wife's Kodak Z700. Race's are tough with P&S's, after 4 years of them - I just got the K200D for next Octobers event!
(I hope you all appreciate the difficuty in capturing a race care in the braking zone trying to slow from about 130mph to 70mph for the upcoming turn! Not easy panning!)

I had to go through my on-line galleries as I haven't shot with my p&s this month yet. The Panasonic FZ30 is a great little digicam. Noisy as heck, but in good light it performs well.
iso 80, f 5.0, 1/125. I had the Nikon TCON-E17ED tc on the end of the fz30 for this shot. At the time I bought it, it was a highly regarded tc for digicam use. I got a "good deal" on it at around $400 in 2005. It's a big old honking piece of glass, much heavier than the olympus 17b I have that is for sure. I tried to "google" it, but it has fallen off the face of the earth it appears and no longer exists except in my camera/lens storage. lol
Anyway, here is my submission this go around. This is one of my backyard Scrubjays. I'm not sure what is up this year. They all look really scruffy and sick! But this guy is looking good...from 10-29-2006
