Problem with Optio M20

Hi all,

I have recently started to have a problem with my Optio M20 camera and just wondered if anyone could help?

It's less than 2 years old and not heavily used but the other day there was a problem. when I turned the camera on, the LCD came to life as normal but, when the lens cover opened there was a short buzzing noise a bit of whirring, another buzz and then the lens closed again and the camera turned off. I have tried on numerous occasions to get the camera to work but all to no avail. The batteries were freshly charged.

Does anyone have any ideas what might be wrong and is it fixable or is it terminal?
