W60 video in windows media player

Is it possible to get this to work? I can play back in VLC and the video is really good. I would like to use media player, too, I've tried a few codec packs but no luck.

I really dislike Windows Media Player.

I am not familiar with the recording format of the W60. Is it DivX?

You can obtain an excellent suite of decoders from here:

ffdshow tryouts | The Official Website

It enables Windows Media Player, Windows Media Centre, etc to play pretty much anything.

Do you know if this works with the w60 file format? I've just spent a few minutes without success but will persevere if it does actually work

I have no idea what video format the W60 really uses, but it is NOT DiVX or XViD, according to windows media "file properties", it's using a DV codec (barely compressed AVI similar to DV cams).

The video files the W60 produces are MASSIVE.

K-Lite Mega Codec Pack. There's no format that it doesn't support.
First deinstall all previous codecs you have and than install K-Lite. It's playing EVERYTHING, and all of that in Windows Media Player
