Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ20. The F2.8 Leica lens at all focal lengths was one of the main selling point and the optical stabilization was unique at the time I purchased it.

I still use my Fuji 5600 when I need something quiet. I can turn off all its beeps and the zoom is very quiet. I'm looking at finding something flat that will go into my shirt pocket easily. And really quiet!
I don't see many people choosing a Pentax p&s here as a backup...
For film... I'm finding I'm not using my Olympus Stylus (brilliant camera, but noisy), Olympus XA or Rollei 35 (a legend!) as much as I used to... though I dusted them off this afternoon...
I've a Casio EX-S500. Very small, very hard. Very noisy IQ as soon as the sun goes away... But I an carry it in my backpocket.

a little konica minolta 5 mp jobbie that makes a sound like a choir singing when you switch it on, with accompanying knight rider lights on the front (sad but true)
Mine theoretically is a 7 yr old canon, something like a 2.1mp camera. However, it hasn't been out to play since my trip to Minnesota when I decided to do the dSLR thing.
My wife has a canon s5 and now an olympus 850. those are hers for shooting the kiddies, since she doesn't like the dSLR and I don't like the idea of her shooting with it if she's not comfy. That, and since she doesn't get "all the dials", because her attempts to use it came out bad, she of course blamed the camera....
I had a k100d as a backup body, but hated the idea of a 2nd body in a bag, when I am really trying to pack lighter when I travel. I had trusted the k10d to be old reliable, but since it gave up the ghost without warning on my latest trip, I will be getting my own up-to-date point and shoot. that olympus I got my wife may get some looks from me, as the drop proof/water proof thing is nice to have, and I was impressed by the ease of use and quality of the pictures.
though, I may go a model lower with something to save some funds. I don't feel like dropping so much money on a backup at this point.
