Smile Optio m20...Feeling out of Place here

Hi,

I just joined this group because I bought a Optio M20 7mp and am very dissatified with it . I realize it's a low end camera but it takes much worse photos than my old Fuji 2mp.

Does anyone in this group have any tweeking advice? I would really appreciate it.

What exactly are you trying to do with it? What conditions is it being used under?

Hi Beth,

Do you own one? I'm just using it around the house inside and out for now to get the feel for it. It takes the most grainie pics indoors.Never have seen this with my old digital camera.

Hi,

Probably you're using the camera under a very low light condition.
Check the Exif data to see the ISO setting.

High ISO settings can lead you to grainie picts.

Just a guess...i don't own one...

Check this link for the image quality

Hi,

Thanks for the link.
I find that if I take a picture at 7 mp it's fine. I then can reduce them down to 640x480 to email smaller pics and they are much clearer.
Your right about high ISO's.

I don't own an Optio, but it seems like if you post an example of the problems you are having then people can help out a little more. Hope things are getting better...
