A30 Movie Problem

I just purchased a new A30 P&S camera that has a problem making movies at 640x480. I will call tech support, but I'd like to know if anyone else has seen a similar problem or has a suggestion.

Movies captured at 640x480 have random streaks (see a sample frame below). I see these streaks while playing in the camera or on the computer. The streaks are less if I disable the Shake Reduction camera option for movies. I don't see the streaks if the movie is captured at 320x240.

I believe that this is the first Pentax camera that uses Divx compression. I don't know if the problem is with the compression or in the captured original frames.

Anyway, not what I expected from Pentax.

Something looks very wrong. Can't imagine thats correct. Have been considering A30. How is the quality on low iso still shots?

The low iso stills were great.
