Vivitar 28-105 Preview - For Regken and others interested.

Here's some shots from the (cosina made) Vivitar Series 1 28-105 f2.8-3.8...the last of the great Stovepipes...

Both these two photos of the Vivitar S! are taken with a Vivitar 90mm 2.8 Macro.

VMC = Check. Another bonus is that both the Vivitar S1 28-90 (Late model) and the Vivitar 28-105 (the one here) have the KA Mount so you can set the aperture to "A" setting. this allows you to shoot in Av Mode and not have to got through the Manual Mode Stop down metering step required for older "plain K" type lenses.

Center = Check

Very nice lens...if only one could be found in PK mount...

Edges? = check

Overall, my experience with this lens was very good. Its too bad the stovepipes ended when a certain famous german company.....bought the 28-90 design. I dunno the whole story but little bits and pieces show up here and there.

anyhow, the 28-105mm is just as good and you won't be disappointed.
