Sigma primes w/ K-7 or K-5

Just a quick question...

I have a K-7 (might upgrade to K-5 eventually). Will the Pentax version of the following Sigma lenses work on those bodies? Will the HSM AF will work?

- 28mm F1.8 EX DG ASP Macro
- 30mm F1.4 EX DC HSM
- 50mm EX DG HSM

The specs on the Sigma page, under Pentax, talk about things like "SF series cameras" and other things that I don't recognize.

Thanks,
Greg

Yes, they'll all work, along with the SDM is available.

The SF series cameras were Pentax's first autofocus SLRs to use SAFOX- that just shows how incredibly backwards-compatible the K-mount is!

I have the Sigma 30 1.4, HSM is only for Canon and Nikon. Specs Here
30mm F1.4 EX DC HSM - Wide Angle Prime Lenses - SigmaPhoto.com
Check out the Corresponding mounts section for compatibility.

The Simga 50 1.4 page is more vague.

On that page, it says it's for Pentax J mount... I've never heard of a "J mount".

If the Pentax version isn't HSM, what is it? Does it just rely on the screw-drive? (Looks like none of the lenses I asked about list HSM on the Pentax version???)

The Sigma 30mm F1.4 has screw driven AF in Pentax mount, while the Sigma 50mm F1.4 has HSM for Pentax mount (I know because I have one ).
