Color-Skopar 20mm

Should I or not get this lens? The Color skopar 20mm seems to be the lens I want: wide angle on digital, ultrawide on film, compact and handy, but what about the IQ?
I've seen fine pictures taken with it, I don't mind much about vignetting. My main concern is the wave distortion:

Do you know if it's easy to correct it? Do you have any idea of it compares to the DA21? Arrrrghhhh I want but I don't want to be disappointed arrrrrrrgh but I want it so much(=> that's LBA I guess).

Voigtlander Nokton 58mm f1.4 SLII

Finally got my CV58/1.4SLII yesterday. Man, is this lens sharp!! In my standard workflow involving all my other lenses, a little bit of sharpening in CS2 normally improves the Jpeg version. But with this lens, any further sharpening is not needed (unless I misfocused, that is!).

Some initial test shots this weekend...

Vincent - the lens is just great.
But I really have to say that I like the composition of #4.
Well done!

Voigtlander 75mm f2.5 SL Color Heliar

Here's one from a not commonly seen voigtlander

stopped down to f4, love the sharpness at that aperture.

Quite sharp wide open as well, as below:

VL 75mm

Hi, knyghtfall
I thought I had read that the VL 75mm was a forerunner of sorts for the 70mm LTD. Wonder if there's any truth to that? The color rendition is certainly striking!

Cheers

Perhaps you'd like to check out this interesting thread by angelodn.
He makes a comparison between the VL 75mm and the 77mm Ltd as well.

Hi tlfaust, your guess is as good as mine. the link that Bart put up is an interesting read and comparison between the FA 77 and the Vt 75. Personally I prefer the FA 77's bokeh over the Vt 75. Not to say that the Vt's bokeh is not wonderfully smooth and creamy, that it is. The FA has a more surreal bokeh compared to the Vt, which might have something to do with the larger max aperture. In terms of sharpness and colour rendition, its hard to compare between the two - both are top notch.

After some googling, yes, the lens formula for the vt 75 and the DA 70 does seem similar. Both consist of 6 elements in 5 groups, with the elements positioned in the same way.

Interestingly, the FA 77 shares a somewhat similar optical formula, with the difference being an additional element right at the rear (FA 77 has a 7 elements 6 group configuration). The configuration of the other 6 elements are very similar to that of the DA 70 and Vt75.
