| It's been written up on the lens review database on this forum, but here's my take on it. The build is like any of the low-end consumer zooms, with all cheap plastic parts (even the lens mount), a rotating front element, no DOF scale, etc. But here's the thing: the image quality is actually very good, much better than most similar zoom lenses. MUCH better then the seeming replacement, the FA J 28-80, which is a terrible lens. They can be had for pretty cheap these days, so it is a very good bargain if you see one. |
