Lens Shootout - FA31-1.8 AL - Sigma 10-20 EX and Tamron 18-250 Di II

Had the good fortune to be able to revisit a local area, the Scenic Rim out of Boonah, in Queenland close to home. Have a favourite road I like to drive, back road and not well travelled. We have had some rain after a long drought and I wanted to see what the changes were.

So nice to see green again, and a quiet Sunday with some time to change lenses.

I like to shoot landscapes, and was wondering what the optimum lens would be. As it happened I had my K10D and some lenses, a Sigma 10-20 EX, Pentax FA31 1.8 L, and the Tamron 18-250 Di II (aka Pentax SMC-18-250.

While there are minor differences, I think all three lenses aquitted themselves well and I think these lenses will stay in my bag.

Phil

More Imgs - The Sunday Drive a year later, after rain! Panorama's and Larger examples...

Nice area ... next time i am up that way I want to get some scenery shots from the Glasshouse Mtn area ... also Bribie Island as well. My mother actually moved up that way a few years back ... and now lives in Caloundra.

It's a nice part of the world ... Montville and Maleny are nice too.
