My disapointment about the DA12-24 + Pentax Photo Trec

Do not worry, it is not about the quality of the glass

2 days ago I ordered my Da12-24 and the shop owner promised me that I can receive it today.
I went to the shop with excitement and ... it was not there.
He called the distributor and learned that it will be available on 18th. When I was willing to cancel my order, he talked with the dist again and hopefully I will get it tomorrow....
I though Japanese people are very strict in their promises

But the good part of the story is that, while I was waiting for the phone calls, I learned that there is a "Pentax Photo Trec" (Photo exhibition) in Nagoya-Japan. If anybody is interested I can provide the details of the exhibition.

I never hold a photography store to stated shipping dates. After all, it isn't their fault if someone on the other end outside their control, drops the ball.

Even if a quality lens is 2 or 3 months late it'll be worth it.

Look at all the people who had to wait to get their pre-paid for K10, not 1 complained when it finally arrived

Part of LBA fun is waiting for the equipment right

Tomorrow by noon my lens will be ready hopefully.
It was a small shop run by an elderly couple. The funny part is that I have almost zero Japanese and they have zero English. I write the lens name on paper and he writes the price on paper

We even bargained like this.
