Strange that it gets released in France first!
That price could be translated to 1159 US dollars from BHphoto.
Thanks for that news. Would love to buy one to bring it to streets

Oooh...that looks nice. Anyone know if it is showing up in the US? I would consider it over the Tamron 70-200 2.8 if the
IQ is better...
I just wish Tamron would get their dates lined up for when the 70-200 is going to arrive..

That's good news. It will be good to see all these roadmap lenses hitting the streets this year. Hopefully they will be on time or early this time. So this lens has no cropped image circle?

Its Full Frame compatible
The optics formula is similar to the FA* 200mm/2.8 .

That might hint that Pentax is planning well for the future.

I really wonder why Pentax doesnt brand the Full Frame compatible lenses as DFA ... So users know which lenses are good for film or for future FF digital cams.

Probably because the DA lenses don't have aperture rings.

That's on my list. Now please let the DA 15 Limited, DA* 30, DA* 55/1.4, DA* 60-250/4, DA* 300/4 roll as well and make me happy!
By the way, for the 85/1.4, I'm actually looking into the Zeiss Planar T* 85/1.4.

with the sigma comming out with a pentax mount 70-200 f2.8
i really dont see how this is a worth while investment
the image quality at that SINGLE focal length would have to be worlds better than the sigma to make this lens desirable.
otherwise your missing out on the 70-199mm usability the sigma offers!

If that's the case, we can say hello to 80-200.
