For me, it's the A 135mm f1.8.

Er, uh no, but if it wasn't top notch then I could resell it on ebay and buy my soul back

Really? I found mine has too much CA and some serious pincushion.

But I imagine you were thinking of the D-FA* IF Pancake Macro 10-1000 f/1.4?

For $100 it's really a great carry around lens and the bokeh is worlds better than that FA 77mm.

I just wish they hadn't colored the outside stark white, or that it was available in mounts besides Pentax. Ha. Ha. Ha.

PS> Oh good... a serious thread to distract me from buying lenses.

Well I took the question to be in the abstract, however I can see how you would be troubled by the thought of exchanging your immortal soul for a hunk of glass and metal fashioned into Pentax perfection if you are a very literal sort!

I said it in a joking manner. I guess I need to put a smiley face next time . At the moment, I got what I wanted so I don't need to sell my soul to devil anymore.

I got it at a better price than that. All of a sudden almost 15 years ago it was standing there in the window for 2nd hand equipment in the legendary "Sergel foto"-corner-shop in central Stockholm. I believe the price tag said something like 3000 Swedish crowns, something like 350 US$ at that time. It was much then for a poor graduate student, but clearly one of my best buy ever. Not worth my soul, but clearly worth more than I payed. And I have hardly ever seen it for sale again, at least not here in Sweden.

D-FA* IF Pancake Macro 10-1000 f/1.4
I'd rather have it's big brother, the 10-1000 f/1.8 tilt-shift.
