please - your thoughts on this DA* 16-50 (large img)

Hi
I'm evaluating a new DA*16-50 at a local camera shop. I took these handheld shots at 6 PM on a cloudy evening - at 2.8, 5.6 and f11. It seems to me that this lens is worth bringing home to run the full focus test and brick wall test.
Do you have any thoughts to help me evaluate this lens?
Thanks!

Your first shot was at 50mm end, but the other two were taken at 26mm. The best way to test out this lens is on both extreme ends: 16mm and 50mm, especially at the wide end. Most problem I heard of about this lens is the wide end.

Hey Ted,

I just can't honestly give an opinion based on those photos. I think you need to do a formal newspaper test where the newspaper fills the image and the sensor is perfectly parallel to the paper. Of course, you need to use a tripod and make sure SR is off.
