The SMC Tak 28mm f3.5 is now MINE!

I just got one in perfect (and I do mean perfect) condition in trade for a KM. I can't wait to try it out on my K100D and see how it performs! Any tips or tricks for this lens? Also, why are 3m on the focusing ring and f8 on the aperture ring in orange?

Those are for setting the hyperfocal distance. All Pentax WA lenses are so marked.

The hyperfocal distance focusing range is one of my favorite things about the 28mm f3.5. Select f8.0, put the orange 3m on the orange line, and everything from 3m to infinity is in focus. This makes it a great snapshot lens!

Well done on getting a mint lens ... the one I purchased looked to be in new condition as well.
Hardly a mark on it really.

It is a very nice lens indeed ... I have played with it bit ... but need to get out with it more though. Colour rendition and contrast are great.

Since my 85mm f/1.9 and 135mm f/3.5 came in though ... I have been playing with them more.
