There is one on eBay right now:

Pentax SMC 105mm 2.8 K lens in Mint Condition, Rare on eBay.ca (item 300336843692 end time 14-Aug-09 21:08:46 EDT)

the bids are already more than what I paid for mine and there are four more days to go...

Cheers,

Luc

If the K-mount version appears to be too expensive, I would like to recommend to buy the S-M-C 105mm f/2.8 Takumar. Same lens, different external finish, easier to use on our Pentaxes because of the closed aperture metering (impossible with K-mount lenses).

Thanks Luc.

I am bidding on this item at the moment. I already have an A 100/2.8 macro so I'm not going to chase this one up much higher.

Well looking at the fierceness of the bid, I am almost tempted to put mine on sale and get a K135/2.5 instead as I am finding that the 105mm is pretty close to the 85mm in FOV.

Cheers,

Luc

Yes, the bidding is getting out of control. Someone clearly wants this lens a lot more than I do. I'll bid on yours if you put in up for sale. I clearly don't need the K 105/2.8 but what's need got to do with it.

Yes you will find a bigger difference with the FOV with the K135/2.5.

K85/1.8 - 29 degrees
K105/2.8 - 23 degrees
K120/2.8 - 21 degrees
K135/2.5 or 3.5 - 18 degrees
K150/4.0 - 17 degrees
K200/2.5 or 4.0 - 12 degrees

Phil.

That makes me very happy to have completed my set of K lenses as soon as the K-85mm F1.8 and K-105mm F2.8 arrive.
Of course you will tell me that I am missing many but enough is enough!!!!
Well, I read that the 30mm F2.8 was a very interesting lens....
Oh and that the 35mm F3.5 was one the sharpest....

Cheers,

Luc
I have the 30/2.8 and it's my favorite wide angle...a little more rare so it'll cost more, but I think it is well worth it. You'll love the k85 and the 105...great lenses!

Sidney Aquarium

Took the kids to the Sidney (BC) Aquarium....first time there. Smallish but well worth the trip. It's all local sea life from around Vancouver island.

K85/1.8 with my K-7....and I missed the left side a little.....oops

I see these once in a while here....and you sure don't want to bump into one while swimming....they defend themselves with a nasty sting....

K 200/2.5

Haven't posted much in the K club of late. Went for a walk with the K 200/2.5 today. Nothing special other than having some time to use my favourite lens and enjoy the day. Stumbled across a duck resting.

That's a great shot, Tom. That K 200 2.5 really has some sharpitude.

It's one of the lenses I have a low-key search constantly going for, mainly because of your shots!
