is my copy ok or??? 16-45's 45 mm vs 50-135 mm' s 50 mm

my 16-45 with k10d has backfocus problem before i sent it to calibration. i checked it s focus accuracy using the focus chart and i am sure it is ok.
but i am not sure whether its a good copy or not. i looked at photozone.de and compare its sharpness with 50-135. at center, their sharpness very close when 16-45 is at 45 mm f 5.6 and 50-135 is at 50 mm f/4. i attach here two comparisions;
first one is to compare the different aperture results of 16-45 (4 and 5.6)
second one is the comparision of 50-135 (50 mm f 4) and 16-45 (45 mm 5.6).
do you think my copy is ok or???
btw i used tripod and mirror lock.
many thanks
halil

your flickr pages are private, can't see them.

Seems your copy is like mine, of the 16-45 - there's good contrast that when not compared and pixel peeped looks great - sharp, saturated - but when compared to something with greater resolution it turns out not to be as great as first seems.

This doesn't make it a bad lens. After all, one hopes to be making photographs rather than comparisons.

I think your lens works fine. I don't see that your other lens resolves much more, it may have less contrast however. With two identical shots, which one comes out to a bigger jpeg?

ps. if you want to see my comparisons, vs. prime lenses: lens_testing Photo Gallery by jussi at pbase.com
in each case, on its own, the 16-45 looks good, imho. Only when comparing details with other lenses does it seem to suffer a bit.

When you are a non-Pro member at Flickr you don't have access to the full size of the picture. It's still there, you just can't get to it.
