| The new KAF2 mount cameras (K10, K20, K100 Super, and I think K200) will provide limited powerzoom function. These cameras have the two power contacts that now provide power to the SWM lenses, but in the past provided power to the powerzoom lenses.
On my K10D, I get basic powerzoom functionality, and the lenses retract to their shortest length when I power off, but none of the esoteric modes like image size tracking. The powerzoom functions when you pull the zoom ring on the lens into the powerzoom position, then you twist it as you would on an old PZ-x camera.
So Herman, to answer your question, the K200 will allow powerzoom because it has the additional KAF2 contacts. |
