SMC Takumar 100mm f/4 macro mounted on K100D with Pentax made M42 adaptor.
All these shots were handheld, so not the best representation of the lens abilities.

Will the Takumar club welcome the most un-loved of lenses, the Takumar (Bayonet) 135 2.5?

I just got back my first roll (black & white) and it's not bad...

If the name starts with a Tak and ends with an umar, photos are welcome here regardless of the gender in the mount area...

That's a cool shot ... actually looks a little vintage as well with the sepia tones in it.
Either that's a cat big cat on a sign ... or that's a big cat on the wire ... LOL

Would you believe I've driven over that road for years and have never seen the cat? I had to enlarge the picture to spot what the heck you were talking about!

I'll have to hunt that thing down and see what it's about. I can tell that it is a "Maneki-neko" (beckoning cat), which is a figurine traditionally used at the entrance of Japanese businesses to invite customers inside. What the heck this one is up to....I have no idea.

I have seen similar as well ... I think Chinese and Korean have something similar ... there are different types of figurine cats from what I have seen as well.

Nice shot fearview, wish I could see larger size to check out the bokeh.

I have a question about the Tak 85's. I see they get a pretty good review in the lens data base. Anyone have more shots taken with this lens. 85 f/ 1.8 or 1.9 ? Any info would be great.

Thanks a bunch!

There have been several shots posted in this thread taken by the Super Takumar 85mm f/1.9. Simon is now the proud owner of my copy, but here are some shots I've taken with it before.

Definitely proud owner of the 85mm ... Jay it's an immaculate lens indeed ... especially for it's age.

All my 85mm f/1.9 shots are here:
Mechan1k/M42 Lenses/Super Takumar 85mm - Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

But it is pretty much most of what I have posted though.
I need to get out more ... and upload more when i get a chance really.

I went to sleep last night and missed out on a Macro-Takumar 50/4. I could kick myself.

Very good work with that 135/2.5 Bayonet model. It has a reputation as being a better paperweight than lens.
