My daughter has this lens on her K10D and loves it. She won't even lend it to her old man...not even for a few hours!

Some beautiful shots posted so far. Here is my humble offering, mostly shot in the back yard - I don't get "out" much right now since I work from the house and our son isn't quite ready to go off on photo romps with dear old dad yet.

From my AF75-300 LD which is for sale. I wish I could justify keeping this one but I so rarely ever use it.

1.5x TC attached. Cropped for composition

And from my SP Di 90mm f/2.8 Macro. The term "cold dead hands" comes to mind regarding parting with this lens...

The thing I like so much about Tamron lenses, aside from image quality, is the how they feel in my hands. They feel substantial, if you will, like I'm holding "a piece of equipment". The focus/zoom/aperture rings are comfortable and move fluidly. They just feel "right". Ya know?

My only Tamron lens is the 90mm SP Macro f/2.8 ... and agree with "cold dead hands".

Sign me up but for the caveat...I will never own a plastic Tamron again, ever.

SP 90/2.5 macro...a lens that is never leaving my reach:
Naturally taken wide open, with my old Canon

A great set taken with a great lens. It is refreshing to see the 90/2.5 used for something besides macros and portraits! (Although I have to tell you that the white iris picture is pretty striking!)

I was wondering if this thread would draw out the owners of the 17-50/2.8. Great images from both of you. I have been SOOOO tempted to buy this lens to replace my 18-55 kit, but then what would happen to my short and normal focal length primes that I so enjoy shooting with! (Or at least I will enjoy if my Zenitar ever gets here...)

After seeing these images and others posted I am now 99.99% sure I'm ordering the Tammy rather than the DA*16-50. Weather sealing and SDM aren't big enough motivators for what I shoot to justify the nearly $300 price differential.
