Circuit City Lens Deals

I missed out on the 12-24mm, but they still have a couple of deals left on their website. The 16-45 F4 is $304.96, the 50mm F2.8 macro is $292.96, and the 100mm F2.8 macro is $365.96. Not really interested in those myself, but maybe someone here is.

Before jumping on those deals check Digital cameras, all other cameras and everything photographic from Adorama Camera. The prices listed on the circuit city website a higher than they should be. Circuit city is listing the 18-55 for $179 and it's only $129 at Adorama, and the 40mm pancake is almost a $100 more at Circuit City than Adorama.

Before buying from the big box electronics places check against other sources to make sure that great price really is.

I think that he was refering to deals about specific lenses, not circuit city in general.
The prices the OP listed seam interesting to me!

mmmmm, okaaaaay. As I wrote, the 16-45, 50mm macro, and 100mm macro look like good deals. I'm not sure where you construed that I had mentioned the 18-55 or 40mm. Those, as your eager research has shown, are total ripoffs at CC, as is the K200D, and pretty much anything else. Which is why I didn't post about them.

Just a heads up for anyone in the market for any of the lenses I mentioned, is all...I was looking at getting the 12-24mm for 4-something, but they sold out before I could make up my mind. Hopefully someone here picked that one up.

I noticed it on sale at the beginning of this month, checked again last week and it was sold out.
