Probably for portraits you can/will develop a quick shooting techique: squeeze with the first two left hand fingers and work the shutter with the right. Anyway that's how I do it.
LOL: I think the 3G should be good for astrophotography
One more point before today's pics, the resting position of a Lensbaby isn't in fact its close focus point: you can stretch the damn thing outwards too!

Nice portraits!

I was looking around and got a blast from the past - April 18, 2007, to be specific. The K100D had been delivered the night before. And what are my first shots with the next day? Yup, Lensbaby at f/2.8:

I can't believe I missed this "club" thread!

Terrific photos everyone! I love this lens, I have 2.0 In the days where I need a little "kick" for inspiration, this is my go-to lens, never disappointing me yet!

I mostly use it with f2.8 or f4 rings, or whatever I feel like cutting out of the paper (for "different" bokeh look)

Few with extension tubes:

And few in b&w

Keep'em coming! Love to see everyone's "bent" view on everyday subjects!

Regards,
D

It hasn't been a very active thread. Not surprised you missed it, but pleasantly surprised to see it revived.

She's a cutie. I get the impression she was working somewhere when you took that.

Ah, well. Just goes to show how little I know.

But you have to admit, I got the cutie part right.
