I'm buried in 50s!

Just had to share, this is how sometimes things work out.

I was looking for a good 50mm. Found a deal on a 55/1.8 with a body for very cheap and snagged it. Not a day later I come across ANOTHER deal, this time on a 50/1.4 Super Tak with a bunch of other gear. I can't help but jump on that one as well.

Then today a friend sends me a note saying he found not one but TWO 50/1.4s Super Taks for me for dirt cheap and bought them.

Tape them together and make one 200mm!

(oh yeah, congrats on the deluge of goodness)

You don't wanna be carrying all of those lenses around, so, out of the goodness of my heart, I will gladly take one of the Super Tak 50 1.4s off of your hands

I would not call four 50s buried, maybe knee-deep but far from excessively many.

However it seems that quite a few of us has more than one 50mm(all you really need is one, isn't that right) so now I'm interested in how many of these little beauties you have?

I count in with fearview at six at the moment. Two of them are soon to go up for auction, can you guess which? K 50/1.4, K 55/1.8, 2x M 50/2.0, S-Tak 55/1.8, Tak 55/2.2.

I have:

K-mount: M-50/1.4, M-50/1,7, A-50/2

Takumars: SMC 55/1.8, Super 55/1.8, SMC 50/1.4

And 50mm is probably my absolutely least used focal length. Two were included with film bodies on auctions and one was from a film body from an antique camera store whose owner wouldn't let me buy the body at a discount without the attached lens. So while I have six, I only tried to get three of them.

I just got my first 50mm - A F/2. Just got it yesterday and so far I'm happy with it with the initial test shots I've taken. Now I just need that split prism focusing screen to aid my manual focusing.

Well, my buddy will be holding onto one, so current standing is:
50/1.4 Super Tak
50/1.4 SMC Takumar
55/1.8 Super Tak (arrived today, and it's gorgeous!)
50/2 Pentax-M (up for sale)
50/3.5 Industar-50

I also have the same sort of clustering going on at 135mm, with three lenses there... and nothing inbetween. I really need an 85 or 100.
