I just found a F 28mm f2.8 lens on my doorstep tonight, UPS from a Maine pentaxian, i was glad to get it. Seems very sharp right out of the box. will try to find an appropriate subject for it, thanks for posting yours!
Thanks. This was taken at 2.8 at 1/50 (w SR on). I've been very pleased with the lens. It does sharpen up after stopping down a bit, but it isn't bad at all wide open. Enjoy your new lens!
Trooper, those are some great shots. I didn't realize that there were F* lenses as well when I started the FA* club thread. I think all the star lenses should belong there, if you agree I can edit that to reflect both FA* and F*. what do you say.....
Thanks...it's not my club. I just happened to love the first FA* lens I got which is the most controversial, and that is the FA*24/2, and I love it. I rarely see images posted with most of these F/FA* lenses, and I think it will be beneficial to many. I think the * lenses have unique color rendition, and I think even the DA*'s have a unique color rendition. They may not be the sharpest but the color, bokeh and overall rendition appears to be superb.
Frank,
The bird shots are great! Especially the ones of the birds with the curved bills. What are they? Are those heliconia that the photographer is standing in?

Thanks Mike, glad you like those bird photos
Those are sunbirds, quite popular here in Singapore. They are bigger than hummingbird but smaller than common sparrows. And yes, those are heliconia they stand on, very common in our Botanic Garden
