What with the heightened states of alert etc these days, "proud" owners of this lens better not plan to pursue their photojournalistic whims with it in any city. Quickest way to get a laser sight aimed right between the eyes.

HAha you should see the Zenit Fotosniper. That will get you shot faster.

You know you got a pretty serious case of LBA when you end up buying the same lens twice...

The thing that amuses me the most

about this thread is that nobody is asking "Why does this lens exist?" but everyone seems to be asking "Why does this lens not belong to me?"

I suggest we all chip in a few hundred bucks each and purchase one of these beasts. Of course, I am willing to take care of the lens for all of the forum members...

It is the sort of device that should be mounted on a four-wheel drive vehicle with the kind of feet that excavators have when they need to be stable.

Perhaps they could offer a trailer that goes with it.

or like a wheelbarrow chassis. haha. I wonder how that thing even manages to focus. Probably all focus by wire. You see it needs its own dedicated power source.

I can gladly chip in, then I'll use it in May during my trip to Florida. I could take care of it for the forum members from that point forward

Imagine the looks you would be getting from passers-by. Probably even get some laughs from people that didnt know what was so special about it haha.
