About Pentax DA* 50-135mm f2.8 minimum focusing distance

Hello.

I own a Pentax DA* 50-135mm and I have a question to ask about it.

Which is the minimum focusing distance for your lens? According to the specifications it is 40 inches (1 meter), but for me even at 60 or 70 inches I dont always get good results, like back focus effect or something.

I think I should test it on the focus chart but in the meanwhile I would like to hear your experiences when focusing to close objects with this lens.

Thanks.

personally I get 1m with mild BF, but that turns into spot on past 1.5m, since it has quick shift mf it's not a big deal for me.
