How small are the DA limiteds?

I've seen pictures for comparison, but to you DA Limited owners, just how small are they? The smallest lens I've owned is the FA 50 (now belongs to someone else), and I currently own the 77. Though quite compact, I wouldn't put the 77 in the pocket of my jeans. I can tell the 40 is super super compact.

Anyways, just HOW SMALL are those DA Limiteds? And if you have a more than one and use them exclusively, how do you carry them around? The small size of these lenses becomes more and more appealing every day!

I own the DA40/2.8 and it's really small. As if it wasn't there.

I own the DA 40 as well. If you took the hood off it would probably be a little thicker than two UV filters when attached to your camera. It's pretty neat, but the lens is somewhat of a disapointment IMO.

check the dimensions on the pentax site. the da21mm isn't so tiny that it's difficult to hold. for pics of the limited on a camera, check the photozone reviews

more pix of the 40mm

Sweet. Too bad that guy doesn't have the 31mm in there too!

Nice to know that the 21 isn't so flat that you can't hold it.

The 70 usually looks big because it has that screw in hood, but it's very small too, and almost imperceptibly heavier than the 40.

Shocking, really.

Just right...

The DA 35 Limited w/hood in is about the same size and weight as the DA 70 Limited w/hood out. Goldilocks said it: "Not too big... not too small..." for the ones I know about.

Cheers...

The DA 35 is actually 5g shy of the weight of the 70 and the 40 combined. It's the only one you can actually feel the weight of.

The 43, the 70, and the 21 are all comparable in size but the hoods on the 43 and 70 make them bigger than the 21 with hoods attached; both are screw-on and caps fit over the hoods so most likely you'll be leaving them on. I imagine with hoods they are probably longer than a hoodless FA50.

@JHfwp: disappointed by the DA40? I have FA43 but the DA40's supposed to be pretty good too, no? What don't you like about it?
