Very cool shoots! I have Russian version of this beautiful lens which is Jupiter-37A 135mm/3.5 (btw, my version is not MC version, but there is another copy which has MC special coating and what i know, it's really hard to find MC version).

richard64, i too had a Pentacon 50mm 1.8 with non non working blades. I wanted to buy another one, but i've checked it and also had this problem, so it should be very very common!

Hi Guys, I ve been looking to fill a few prime spots with old srew mount glass . Recently bought a chinon camera with 50/1.8 and 135/2.8 lenses assuming that it was chinon glass. Box arived today only to find that the lenses were made by Carenar. Has anyone even heard of this company? I'm assuming (there I go with that assume thing again)that these lenses are ahhhhh junk. would appreciate any insights.

Carenar! That sounds like an off-brand if there ever was one. They might be junk or they might be pretty good. Give them a try and post the pictures here or on the off-brand thread

A sharp shinned hawk looking for a snack at our bird feeder. It waited around long enough for me to unpack my Soligor 400mm f/6.3 and get it mounted so that I could shoot through the kitchen window.

Original to show framing:

And some crops:

Went out today with three primes but ended up just using my Flektogon 35/2.4. It was a grey day so all were shot handheld at ISO800 at apertures around f5.6
