Functioning 645 Adapter?

I have the Pentax 645 Adapter for use on my K20D, but it is full manual operation. Does any more technical person than I am have any idea how it might be possible to drill and wire such an adapter to make it fully functional with the 645 FA Lenses?
Is it even feasible to do such a thing? It is a question that I am discussing with a friend over on Flickr, and thought someone here might share some insight with a low tech person like me.
Thanks!
Rupert

I had asked a while ago if there was a 645 "A" adapter to work on the digital KA.. mounts. No one responded.

I do not think that it is possible.
You have to be content with the functionality provided by the adapter.
Even if you connect them electrically, the K20D body will be unable to see that you have attached an FA 645 lens.

Wishful thinking.....

Well, I guess it is wishful thinking, but I am hoping a Digital 645 in the near future is more than just wishful thinking!

i've only seen full manual adapters...not even an "A"...expensive too...I'm getting an original 645 and all "A" lenses so an A adapter for K-mount would be nice...

Hi Jim, is that you (from DPR)? Glad to see you here

Don't think there is any 645 to P/KA adapter out there, otherwise my friends would be all over it. They've been using Pentax 645 lenses on dSLR cameras all these years, and they are diehard Pentax fans

Cheers!

There seems to be tons of 645 lenses in the wild that are looking for homes at extremely reasonable prices, making it even worse. I saw an FA* 300 645 f/4 on sale for about $120 yesterday on eBay.
