Lester Dine macro question

Great lenses. My question is simple: has anyone ever seen a dentist use one? I never have, and my wife says she would leave the office if the dentist started taking pictures. Maybe I don't go often enough.

Funny questions. I have one, too. My girlfriend teaches at a dental school, she says a lot of the residents have photo equipment to document their cases. I guess you can not really complain there.

My friends in dental school take pictures of their fillings etc for their records. I imagine they are used more in academia than in practice. In a dentists office they are mainly looking to diagnose and fix problems, rather than record and share cases.

I had some orthodontic work done a few years ago and the specialist used a Nikon P&S of some description. Not even the waterproof model...

He was part time teaching at the dental school so was both keeping records and using the more interesting cases as teaching examples.

Well I haven't seen one used by a dentist either. I can imagine they may have at one time and at least some may still use them in a lab.
I found mine collecting dust at a local camera shop and the old man said he actually got it from a dentist who was the original owner.
I've seen a few photos of this lens, but not any with the the guide sticker still on it. So posting some here for posterity and for the pleasure of the lens fetishists

cheers
