It is a gorgeous lens and I have it on my K10D 90% of the time. I really can't recommend it enough. Get it.

Not that you need anymore convincing but some folks posted some nice shots in one of my old threads about the DA 40...

DA 40 - why don't I use this more?

I'm still waiting for a replacement copy... the first one had a serious backfocus issue.

Hopefully SOON i will be able to hold one again and be amazed by the quality. At the moment I am just sour on it.

You'd think LTDs had a high quality control.

Mike, I have a very different DA40 reality... my copy was razor sharp on my
K100d, and can not quite achieve the same results even with the max 10 adjustment on my K20d... I think sometimes the tolerances on the cameras are as much to blame as the tolerance on the lenses. And if you have a both a bit off in the same direction... blur city.

I hope yours definately was the lens, and that the new one is spot on. Because when they are on... they are really special little lenses.

I tested it on two K100d bodies.

It was bad on one and REALY bad on the other.

Can't wait to get it....... hate waiting.
