A Few More From the Vivitar 135/2.8

My Vivitar 135/2.8 (M42 version by Komine) continues to impress me. Here are a couple of shots taken today at f/5.6:

I did a little PP to compensate for dull light...

Excellent shots - I've been inspired to get one too, even though I hate the 135mm length (this is my ..um.. 5th 135, and maybe my favorite, as it's sharp and saturated, and petite & trim).

Nesster,
Glad to see there is yet another forum member that is enjoying the Vivitar 135/3.5. Like you, I have a hard time liking the focal length. It is just a little too long on the K10D. I have not used it too much for film, but probably should. After all, the traditional 35mm film kit from "back in the day" was a fast 50mm accompanied by a 28mm wide-angle and a 135mm moderate telephoto. Likely as not, both the 28 and the 135 would both often be Vivitar (back in the day).

The old vivi 135 2.8

As you know you are preaching to the choir on this one... I never really got into the 135 length when I had my Pentax M-135 3.5, but the closer focus and bokeh of the vivi and now my Tair 135 2.8 and the 135 length is better for me now.

Can't wait to see more of your vivi shots...

Hopefully I will have a few Tair shots to post tomorrow. You know you are gonna need one of those too... haha
