@marcinski I still crack up when I see that third photo... Ditto heliphoto with your vulture and Mike P with the bugs, especially the one with the insect in its mouth. Some awesome photography.
I can't manage such, so will have to do with more impressionistic use of the lenses...
52BB 90/2.5 with BBAR 2x Flat Field converter, the rim of an old clawfoot tub
52BB 90/2.5 with dedicated extension tube, detail of a Deco vase
it is a good lens, but I never found 24mm to be wide enough (on film)
over time, I have found that the focusing mechanism has developed some backlash, which is an annoyance more than a real problem,
I just reciently picked up a 28mm F2.5 for the outragous price of $12.
I had an old PKA mount which i had given up on because it never let me have apatures below F4. I found that it had an internal connection problem with the apature pins and the A switch. I have now made it an A only mount and put it on the 28mm
Very nice pic - how do you like the 24? It is a focal length I don't have and have been eyeing the adaptall.
Thanks for the comment. I found the focal length is wide enough even it is really a 36mm on the K10D. The feel and handling of the lens is great, the IQ is not bad at all. I am happy with it, as well as the 80-210mm (103A). I am thinking the next adaptall2 lends to get is the 35-80mm after seeing some nice images here.
Very nice! Razor sharp and nice color. I managed to pick one up since my last posted and should be arriving tomorrow. Can't wait to test it out. I am curious how is the macro of this lens compare to the 90mm f2.5 macro. Has anyone done any comparison shots? Beside the obvious different of the Mag. Ratio, This one is 1:2.5 and the 90mm is 1:2 without the 2X tele-converter; 1:125 and 1:1 with the tele-converter. Can it be as sharp or closed to it?
The 35-80 is extremely good in macro - and it does the macro range at 80mm. So much so that this lens was the only one I needed for 10 years with the OM2s - eventually I bought a Zuiko 85mm f/2 to shoot daughter's musicals.
I really didn't need a 52bb, and maybe should have the 90 in auto focus. Yes, it probably is a smidge better at its speciality.
I haven't used the 35-80 with the 2x, or at least I don't recall having done so. I also have the dedicated extension tube... which can be shoehorned on other adaptall lenses, but with the problem that the max aperture slot is fixed at f/2.5.
I just bought (ebay) my first Adaptall, and even though I find that the one I bought is not the one with the highest rating, I am really pleased with my first trial efforts with this fine lens. These were taken with my K10D and the Tamron SP f1:3.5 70-210mm CF, #52A.
I will be interested to see what you think of them.
Maybe you can find them below.

Reason: no pictures!
I just got mine 35-80mm in the mail yesterday, but it seems broken! The Zoom ring got stuck at 50mm, I can zoom from 35mm to 50mm but not able to “turn” to 60mm - 80mm. I mess up even more by tried to open up the lens and fix myself, the aperture ring no longer click! Now I need to spend more money and have it repair by a camera shop.
