EXIF data on 50mm lens

I have a Pentax A 50mm F2.0, which I recently began playing with. I noticed the EXIF data says the focal length is 8.0mm .. can anyone help me understand why this is? FYI, I am reading the data from Elements 7.0.

Check your shake reduction focal length setting. With A series and earlier lenses, the EXIF data focal length is imprinted with what is set in SR.

Pretty sure you can't set a focal length of 8mm, though...

What body? The K20D setting starts at 8mm.

Both the K10 & K20 have 8mm as their lowest setting. I presume the other SR featured bodies are the same.

Whoops, guess I just never had it down that low.

Thanks for the clarification/correction.
