Just ordered DA35 :)

Hi all!
I have for a long time missed to have a "normal" lens. My beautiful FA 50/1,4 is to "long"
So I have just ordered the DA35 to use as a "normal" walkaround lens

Argh! the wait will kill me I will post some shots when I get it next week!

Wow... I am sure you will enjoy it... I have been thinking about buying it too but maybe it is too close to my FA43, thats the one I use as my walkaround lens.

Waiting for your pics..

I think you will like it, my copy lives on my K20D most of the time. It is a very usable length and very sharp, with great contrast and colours from 10 cm to infinity.

You have made the right choice my friend. I have gad mine for 2 months and it is an excellent lens. The macro function is excellent for flowers. Good luck

Dead right. This is the best flower lens ever made. The extreme micro-contrast plus decent DOF control and "good plus" bokeh all add up to a nice tool for the job.

If this helps, I took this shot with the 35ltd yesterday:

K20D, 35mm Limited, f/2.8, 1/200, no flash.

FYI, in the background is my previous DSLR & Sigma 24-60mm shown to give a size reference for a friend who wanted to see the 77ltd relative to a know item. But they are tentatively sold to a local guy and in the foreground is the Pentax 77ltd...your 35mm is smaller yet, really cool in the size but HUGE is delivery of results.

As you see, this was a fast impromptu shot yet the results were more than adequate as quickie product shots go...before this lens, my "go to" lens was always that very 24-60mm, the 35mm gives me a lens which exceeds what that zoom gave me...plus it delivery macro level resolving/tack sharp images.

Since I have only had the lens a shot time (since last Monday, I know the excitement of knowing when it's OFD [out for delivery]) hehehe...enjoy!!

I just remembered all the negative comments this lens got when it was first announced (like "who needs another dark 35mm" and "who needs a 35mm macro").
Funny how things can change.
I was going to get this lens as well but it took too long to market.

OH, YES!! that would be GREAT. I was a bit reluctant to order a silver lens, but, ya know, I am glad the price got the best of me and I ordered it...love the thing even if it did give me fits for a bit with a focusing issue. Micro AF adjust to the rescue.

Anywho, I now LOVE the silver tone on the black body, kinda looks, well, wrong...should keep people from telling me all about their gear all day long.

Was curious where you ordered from and how much it cost. Thanks.
