The pricing at Goodwill has gone up in the past year, for sure. Still, I bet these go for a fair discount versus Ebay.

I doesn't need to be said that I am not currently in the market...

Phil,

Do you have the entire set of K series lens now? How are you liking that K 200/2.5 you got a little while back?

Almost, for the primes 400mm and under. I still haven’t decided on what to do about the super telephotos.

Yes the K200/2.5 is my favorite telephoto above 100mm.

That is an amazing collection Phil.

I knew you would like the K 200/2.5. It is my favourite lens of any kind. A 200mm isn't everyone's cup of tea but for the type of shooting I do most frequently it is ideal.

I'll admit to having a desire for the K 500/4.5 as I do a lot of birding. Hard to beat that sort of speed in a lens of that focal length. It is, as are most telephotos of this generation, prone to CAs and purple fringe. When can we expect this one to show up in your collection?

Cheers

Thanks Tom. Luckily the K series does not have any really expensive lenses, like the A or FA series. For the price of a couple A* telephotos you could buy the entire K series twice over and throw in a couple K2s! I also don’t like the K series zooms very much, so I’m skipping them altogether.

I live in a condo, so space is an issue with the super telephotos. The K1000/8 and the K2000 are defiantly out, no room for lenses with trunks. I might get one, either the K500/4.5 or the
K1000/11 reflex. At least my tripod will hold them and they have hard lens cases. Will see how much I use my K400/5.6 over the next few months, to see if I really need a longer focal length.

Phil.
