a few Takumars

im going through yet another local move.. and I was boxing up lenses and bodies and browsing the forums, so I thought id take a quick photo. I actually have two more new in box lenses but they were already boxed up, and I was too lazy to get them out. so, yea this is what drains my bank account.... I let a new in box SV body get away from me a few days ago...

purty It's always fun getting old new items. Ever use those, or are they strictly for collection?

both really, they all get used. the 50/4 macro quite a lot. but they are purchased for collection as well. I don't plan on opening up a museum or anything but they are well cared for.

I have everything. the paperwork, the lens booklets, cases, hoods, case straps, etc. I cant speak for the 135, as I bought that from Woof, but all the others (including the two not pictured) had never been mounted, still in the plastic wrapping.

The preset model, second from right?

I haven't ended up using mine much. Manual focus and preset make it rather challenging to shoot any macros without a tripod and a stationary object. Haven't really tried it as a normal 50mm.

yep the preset. I actually use this lens a lot as a 'normal'. I don't find the preset aperture difficult for macro, or any shooting style for that matter, but then I don't always go to 1:1.

I have 5 "new" SMC Taks but 3 of the boxes didn't make it and a 4th looks a little moldy. I still hang onto the 4th box but wonder if it could ever affect the lens (not that I store the lens in it)...

There is nothing greater than a new Tak.....
