THANK YOU Class A for mentioning that. You sent me back to Amazon for reviews on that lens and I discovered the source of the statement that I was struggling to remember when I started this thread. That statement is here:

It was made NOT in connection with the 90/100/105 macros but apropos the Sigma 70. I'm glad that I found it because it was driving me crazy!


To reconfirm: When you use a macro in non-macro situations, it will behave just like a regular lens and the images will look the same.
