| It's funny, I have both the DA 35 and the DA 40 and I can't imagine giving up either one. The DA 35 is great for close up photos, macro shots. I agree that it isn't fast focusing, it is fine for landscapes, but just does better with static things. The DA 40 is a zippy little lens. Quite sharp, great colors -- love it for close up portraiture of my kids. I guess I would prefer the 40 as a walk around, but if I know I am going to be going somewhere like some gardens, I would put the 35 on. All I can say is that depending which lens I have on the camera, I will come back with different photos, but they will be good either way. |
