Anyone use a Vivitar MC 50 1.7?

I have a little Vivitar MC 50mm f/1.7 lens that I picked up several months ago that I really haven't spent any time with until just the last couple of days. I went on-line and tried to research it but, beyond the V3800N, I can't seem to turn up much.

Overall it seems to be a nicely constructed lens, built of metal, and quite solid. It focuses down to little closer then 1.5 feet (0.45 meters). It uses a 52mm filter.

I'm curious if anyone has used this lens and, if so, what their experience has been. I was out today and took several pictures with it and I thought it performed quite well on my K200D. Here are a couple of examples that were shot at f/1.7 this afternoon.

Has anyone else had any good, or bad, experiences with this lens?

I have same lens.
Bought for below $10, and repaired non-working focusing.
As i remember, it is OK lens. But I use AF 50mm pentax today.

Thanks. Just curious. I checked the database and didn't see it listed in the Vivitar section. Knowing that Vivitar doesn't actually manufacture their own lens I wonder who actually built it?

I inherited it along with a couple of Pentax zooms a couple of years ago and I finally got around to trying it out last week. I've never had need of it, but it seems to take some reasonably good shots.
