As I am on nightshift ... I have been asleep all day.
Have brought my camera gear into work with me ... so it will only be test shots for now.
Nothing spectacular here.

Night shift for me too. I can only imagine what the degenerates at work would say if I took the cam in with me.

I tried to take part but I get
Upload Failed - Your photo cannot exceed 1Mb in filesize. Please also check the file format!

Since when is 88K and 143K over 1Mb. The filenames are pentaxday01.jpg and pentaxday02.jpg

I give-up.

Wow, Buddha. You are going to this wonderful place to take photographs! I am so envious of you and would love to come along if I could!

Looking forward to the images

There was supposed to be a LI Photography Group meet this morning from meetup.com that was going to meet @ the big Fire Island Lighthouse ... 192 steps to the top. I was psyched to have a great subject for this day. Low and behold, it was supposed to rain this morning. So the meet was delayed to tomorrow... better yet, today turned out to be a fantastic day, and rain is now expected for tomorrow... ...it better hold off until the afternoon!

So I went down to the beach near my house instead to take a lot of shots in honor of this year's global pentax day... all is well that ends well.

Amidst a very hectic day, this contest gave me the incentive to find 'just a few minutes' to go take some photos. Photos I would have certainly have missed otherwise.

It feels really good just carrying a great camera with you as you go. Ready.

So therapeutic that I just can't understand why my doctor won't go ahead and write me a prescription for the 50-150mm f/2.8, the 50-500mm f/4-6.3, and a full set of Pentax Limiteds. ;-)

Anyway, so after a year+ here, I finally post a few photos for your comments. Or hopefully suggestions... as I need suggestions far more than comments.

It also reminded me how much I value this community and forum, and helped with that final nudge to donate.

Thanks!

This is ambiguous. Does this mean that the largest dimension should be between 800 and 850 pixels? Or the smallest dimension? Or something else entirely?

Sorry, one more thing.

My workflow strips out EXIF data. I can put some back in manually -- what is the minimum you would like?

Basic EXIF should suffice, but since our currently gallery can't read EXIF, it's not that important. I obviously plan on upgrading the gallery later on.
