New Feature: Pentaxium Photo of the Day

I've now added an automatic picture of the day feature that picks one photo from the Pentaxium gallery and features it in a thread in the 'post your photos' section. Enjoy!

Just a though Adam, instead of creating a new thread each day, how about just adding to the existing one?
It could go in Challenges, Games and Photostories then where it is less likely to be missed.

I like having separate threads for each photo, but I think it would be a good idea to move to the photostories section.

How about including a link to the photographers other pictures in the Gallery, that might encourage more people to use it and to leave comments.

Adam, wondering if a sub-forum section isn't warranted for these? While it does keep the forum section very active with new posts/threads, I notice the other contest and photo story threads are getting lost in all the 'photo of the day' threads.

I don't think a sub-forum would solve the problem, though I do agree that the threads cause clutter. Changing it to Photo-of-the-week might be more appropriate, IMO.

How about a thread per week but put a photo per day in it? There's a lot of pictures in the gallery to get through.

That sounds like an idea, but it would take me a while to do as it requires some re-coding. As a temporary soultion, I've reverted the system to post one thread per week, and it'll go in Post your Photos for more attention.
