God Bless This Farm

Okay folks, submitted for your review. I wanted to try a slightly 'darker' treatment than what the original shot portrayed. I could have done an HDR style and kept the details of the foreground and sky, but once I decided to go with this version instead.

Critique wise, you have carte-blanche but I'd be interested in in discussing:
- Exposure choice
- Crop. I broke my 3:2 rule for the first time in about two years.
- Emotional response

Thanks!

*PS. Please do not post alterations of the shot. Thanks.

I like the exposure. There is nothing at all missing as a result of the black foreground.

It also is more emotive than a typical farm scene because the clouds are so dramatic.

If I had to nitpick, I would want to see what it looked like cropped in from the right. As it is, I feel a bit unbalanced as I look at the picture because of the vast difference in lightness from right-to-left. However, you could also get around this by blending in a darker patch on the far right, creating a natural vignetting for the shot.
