Let me start out by saying, taking pictures through 4-16 inches of plexiglass, curved and covered in finger and faceprints, is not easy. The lighting was also very challenging.
Here's a few I got. Please tell me what you think, all comments and criticisms welcome.
I was with the family so I only carried my K10d (which I got on Saturday) and a DA40.
Wow. For a public aquarium, those are pretty impressive shots. They're all good, even the lighting. And you only got the camera a few days ago? I truly impressed.
The only criticism is the 2nd shop lacking the details but that is quite hard to do already given the image was taken through a thick layer of glass with dark setting
Excellent shots. I took my K10D there with only a 70 limited and had a tough time with it. The lighting was so dark, and as you indicated the glass was so thick. You managed to get outstanding pics though. Bravo.
The 2 jellyfish shots and croc are great shots. The other 2 are good as well but do loose a little detail from the light and glass. Very well done and as Stewart says, impressive with a new camera!
Thank you all for your comments. And I agree with all of them. It was very enjoyable, each exhibit presented a different challenge. I wish I would have more time to figure some of them out. Some shots I could see in my mind I just couldn't get, do to my lack of experience in that environment.
Really nice images. My favourite is the crocodile shot, think it's great...
Brings me back memories of my visit to London aquarium, but the shots were no match for yours..
