Tokina 70mm-200mm with vititar 2X test photos

I took these this afternoon at the Jupiter Beach pier. I was standing on the pier and hand holding a Tokina 70mm-200mm F 4.5-5.6 zoom with a Vivitar 2x teleconverter.

I intentinally under-exposed (trying to maintain shutter speed) and tried to revivie in post-pocessing so I could stop the action. Unfortunately, the sun kept going behind the clouds and it compounded my exposure problems.

Some of these have as much as +3.0 exposure compensation in post processing so the noixe is noticable.

A lot of action in the first one, just not very sharp.

Looks like you boosted the second one.

Third one lacks some sharpness.

Fourth one is good, but a little dark.

Fifth blurry.

2x TC and then cropping, is seldom a good idea, regarding IQ.
