War Memorial in Black and White

Hi,

Today I visited a local War Memorial and decided to go for an ' old school' B&W look.

C&C appreciated.
Thanks,

Roger.

#1, 2 and 3 are nice, but #1 is far superior. #4 and 5 don't do much for me. #6 seem cropped too close much on the right.

The only thing I would do to is:

#1 touch up the white spot at the top left corner to be black.

#3 increase the contrast.

Thanks for your comment. I agree that no.1 is the best shot of the lot.
I took several shots of the statue with the torch, no. 6. There was a distracting metal structure at the right, tha is why I had to crop so tight. But perhaps it could have been a better photograph.

No. 4 is to illustrate the vast numbers of casualties.

Greetings,
Roger.

I would have to agree that the first is Superior and the fact it is in BW does the shot justice - I really like your thinking on that shot.

I also happen to like the centered-head-on shot of the monument.
