Pillow Fight & Bubble Battle

i'm going to put these photos in the "photo critique" section vs the "post your photos" section because i kinda need some help how to improve them :P but please don't rip me a new a$$hole?! :P

considering i still suck i think they're ok, but I'm having a rough time getting really rich colors and clarity.

Well Pete, you gotta to have vibrant colours in order to get vibrant colours. The last 2 shots have the colours but the others don't have any so don't expect it especially with that dull sky over Nathan Phillips.

i guess i mean having the colors pop more, not really having purples and yellows in each shot. they just don't seem as sharp as i've seen other photos.

What lens are you using? I get these kind of results with my crapola sigma kit lens. I really like teh big bubble shot and the pillow on the ground floor.

I would increase the contrast on the first three, at least.

I agree with SpecialK on the contrast, and would even go a step further and fiddle with the shadows and highlights.

The bubble ones look good to me though
